St Nicholas C of E Primary School and Nursery is seeking to appoint a creative, passionate and inspirational primary practitioner to provide exciting learning opportunities for our children.

Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCO)

Main pay scale Part Time 2 x days per week – fixed term to 31st August 2018 in the first instance

Required from January 2018 we are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated professional to lead and develop the special educational needs provision in our school. Must hold the SENDCO qualification or be willing to work towards it.

An Ofsted rated Good school and SIAMS rated Outstanding, St Nicholas is a school which values its mission of ‘inspiring learning to last a lifetime’. We are now looking to recruit an outstanding SEND Coordinator to lead, develop and support effective practice for students with identified barriers to their learning within the school.  In this crucial position, you will use a dynamic skill set as you support learners’ progress, work closely with families and play an important staff development role. You should be confident with using data to evaluate the impact of support and interventions. You will lead a small team of intervention support workers and one to one support staff, co-ordinating the high quality support and intervention, which enables each learner to achieve his or her full potential.
